Just over five hours later and approximately 11 miles walked, and a blister a piece, we arrived at The Ship Inn at Upper Framilode. Over cider shandys followed by lovely honey and ginger icecream, we reflected on the perfect walk we had just completed. Nature at her finest. We saw Canada Geese, a solitary Cormorant, heard the lovely song of Chiff Chaffs, saw huge Ravens circling overhead at Hempsted, many ducks, a pair of Swans, Lapwings, various types of Gull. Lots of domestic farm animals, Horses, Donkeys, Cows, Sheep and their lambs. Beautiful Springtime flowers, Cuckoo Flower, Cowslips and the ancient and beautiful blossoming apple and pear trees. A perfect walk. Already we were looking forward to the next part of our voyage around the coast of Britain - navigating 'Horseshoe' of the River Severn.
