Walk 11 (Day 1) - 6th October 2012 - Scarborough (North Yorkshire) to Robin Hood's Bay (North Yorkshire)

Another two day walk. We drove to Whitby on the Friday afternoon. Parked the car by Whitby Abbey and caught a bus to Scarborough. We stayed the night in The Premier Inn, following a delicious evening meal at Prezzo. We had an early start on the Saturday morning - left is Julie looking very happy at the start of our walk at the Premier Inn.

Signposting our way!

Looking behind us to Scarborough on the far headland.

Undulating fields and farm buildings.

The Coastguard Shelter at Long Nab.

One of many stunning cliff top views on this walk. There will be many more on this blog and we make no apologies for it! On most of them will see shadows of us taking the photos.

Scarborough falling further behind us on the furthest headland.

One of the views from Hayburn Wyke - very hilly and good test of heart and lung fitness. The views were definitely worth the hard work.

A sleeping grass snake on a mat of grass, just behind is a sheer cliff face and the blue of the sea.

A Gloucester piglet meets a Barnsley piglet!

The beautiful tearooms at Ravenscar.

The tearooms as they used to be - photo taken from a placemat in the cafe.

Not too long until our destination!
